Slip Ring Commutators

PSR-18-1

Powered Slip Ring (PSR) commutator allows tethered subjects to move freely without twisting tethers by automatically rotating to compensate for subject's movement.

The PSR-18-1 encompasses 24 recording channels, 4 references, 4 stimulus channels, and 4 power lines.  

Signals travel from the commutator to the acquisition system (Digital Lynx SX) via tether extension cable (TETH-XTN-XX). The adapter ADPT-HS-27-PSR-36 is included.

Optic sensor measurement is used to automatically rotate the slip ring to eliminate excess torque on the subject's head. 

Subject is more comfortable and headstage disconnect is  greatly reduced.
