Slip Ring Commutators

PSR-36

This slip-ring commutator allows for tethered subjects to move freely around an enclosed environment without twisting of the tether. An included mounting plate can be used to position the commutator directly above the subject. Signals are carried from the commutator using a standard Neuralynx tether extension cable (sold separately). Both 220V and 110V power systems are supported. If automatic rotation is not always required, this commutator can also be manually rotated using the Commutator Remote Control.

PSR-36 User Manual

The commutator's sensitive torque detection automatically rotates the tether to eliminate excess torque on the subject's head. This helps keep the subject comfortable and greatly reduces the risk of a headstage disconnect. All headstage signals from as many as four HS-36s are passed through the commutator with no signal modification or degradation.
