Slip Ring Commutators

PSR-18-1

Powered Slip Ring commutator allows tethered subjects to move freely without twisting tethers by automatically rotating to compensate for subject's movement.

24 channels from the headstage are passed through the commutator with no signal modification or degradation.  

Signals travel from the commutator to the acquisition system (Digital Lynx SX) via tether extension cable (TETH-XTN-XX).

Optic sensor measurement is used to automatically rotate the slip ring to eliminate excess torque on the subject's head. 

Subject is more comfortable and headstage disconnect is  greatly reduced.
